BainUltra air tubs?

I'll be installing (*I*, meaning my husband....hee!) some sort of whirlpool tub when we remodel our bathroom. I'm trying to decide what to buy. I need to do an alcove installation (60" length) and my head is imploding with all the options. I think Jacuzzi brand whirlpool tubs have hideous "skirts" that are discolored and flimsy but I like the chrome jet trim kits you can get. American standard jet tubs have less jets, no trim kits (that, to me, leave the tub looking unfinished), and I ran across BainUltra AIR tubs in a specialty store recently. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they didn't produce a measly, effervescent, alka seltzer effect, but real WHOOSH! I liked the coated acrylic, cleanliness (no water left in lines), heated neck and back rests, ability to handle chick stuff like bath salts and oils etc). I know I have to have an integrated skirt (bleh!) but some of them are just WRONG.

Looks good on paper but wondered if anyone has had experience with these kinds of tubs? Cant find much about the pros and cons on the web. Thanks for any help.... Me

We have owned a TMU 900 for about a year and a half now. We have previously owned Jacuzzi and jacuzzi knock-offs.

I can't say enough good things about the Bain Ultra tub. The almost infinite range of settings is a great feature. We like the drying cycle that runs everyday at a programmed time. We especially like the shape, and would suggest that you actually climb in whatever tub you shop to see if you like the shape once you are in the tub. Most importantly, we like the fact that one is not taking a bath in the previous bather's dirty water, as one is with all water pump units. Yecccch. Aesthetically, the tub fits in with many more interior design schemes, as it does not have those obnoxious chrome fire hose outlets found in a water pump tub.
