1940/50's peerless boiler question

Apr 08, 2005 1 Replies

i have a old peerless boiler. it seems to be in good shape except for the pilot light. on days its kinda warm out or when i have the wood burning stove going or whenever the boiler isnt constantly firing, the pilot will go out. anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this? nothing like waking up to a 55 degree house.....

See if barometric damper working replace thermocouple check pilot flame, see if it's adequate see if pilot flame is keeping thrmocouple warm
