Lawn Patch, Grass Seed, Fertilizer Shelf life

Does lawn patch / grass seed / fertilizervhave a shelf life - does it go bad? I imagine they either are all good forever or all are not, maybe not?

Can each be left outside in the garage during the winter and still be effective next spring / summer?

Thanks in advance.

I've understood grass seed shelf life to be about two years, the fertilizer and mulch in that product should last longer than that as long as it has been kept dry in storage.
