My sink with the j trap is draining fine. The disposer side will not drain into the pipe. I turn the disposer on and it just throws water back up and out the sink's hole leading to the disposer. There is no trapped food in disposer. When plunged, the water comes up the vent Where is the clog? When I turn the disposer on the water just comes up into the sink.
Have a two bowl sink...side of disposal is clogged and won't drain in to the oth

The disposer's grind chamber may be clear, but that doesn't mean the drain pipe is. You'll have to remove the disposer's drain pipe and remove any debris either in the pipe or in the disposer's outlet. If the disposer's old, its outlet may be rusted shut and you may luck-out by simply chiseling the rust out and into the trash...they usually collapse though.
