A while ago I came to this group looking for advice. I got a lot of help and now I want to give something back.
I have a new heatpump with oil backup. I wanted to know at what temperature I should have the thermostat crossover to oil from heat pump. Attached to this post is the spreadsheet I came up with. Maybe it will help someone else.
Also, if anyone finds any problems with it, please let me know! I am not an HVAC expert so there COULD BE ERRORS. Use it at your own risk. (however, I am an engineer by trade so I think it is slightly better then a wild guess.)
