Mold can return after it has been removed, especially if the underlying cause of the mold growth has not been addressed. In the case of mold growth under the roof, the most common causes are leaks in the roof or gutters, or poor ventilation in the attic.

If you had mold removed from your house and the roof and gutters were repaired, it is still possible for mold to return if the leaks or poor ventilation have not been fully addressed. The best way to prevent mold from returning is to have the roof and gutters inspected regularly to ensure they are in good condition and functioning properly.

In addition, it is important to address any issues with poor ventilation in the attic, such as installing proper ventilation or insulation to keep the attic dry and well-ventilated.

It's a good idea to have a professional mold inspector to check your house periodically, they will be able to identify potential issues and provide recommendations on how to prevent mold from returning in the future. They will also be able to check your attic, roof, and gutters to ensure they are in good condition and functioning properly.

It's important to keep in mind that once you've removed the mold, it's crucial to keep the humidity level low and be vigilant with monitoring any signs of mold growth, such as musty smells, discoloration, or visible mold.
