My Chocolate Sapote tree is dropping its "fruit" before they have even grown. The flower dies, then the fruit just starts to form and it drops off. Any ideas? I am in Zone 9, sand soil amended with composted mulch. I water the tree about every two weeks right now. Got lots of flowers and then they fall to the ground. What am I doing wrong? What fertilizer should I use? Currently using the one for citrus, avocado and mango. Thanks in advance for any help. By the way, the flowers have a wonderful gardenia aroma.
