Green onions - slow-germinating

Does anybody else have this problem? I am constantly observing that green onions take forever to poke their tiny heads up; most annoying. You?



Is there a brand that's any faster than the others?

What's the soil temperature like? Between about 60 and 85 degrees F soil (not air!) temp, emergence in about 4-7 days.
