Why is it so hard to find a sliding screen door that actually fits?

I'm trying to replace the screen door on my patio and I'm honestly so confused by the sizing. I measured my opening at exactly 80.5 inches, so I went and grabbed a standard 80-inch slider thinking the adjustment screws woud bridge that tiny gap. But when I got it home, the thing was way too short even at the maximum extension. It feels like the 80-inch label is just a suggestion because it was barely hitting 78 inches out of the box. I've been looking online for a better quality replacement since the $120 one felt like it was going to snap in half, but every single brand has these awful reviews.
