I have been told that there is to be a change or there has been a change to planning law in England this year to make things a bit clearer/easier. Does anyone know about this. Any info would be welcome. Cheers.
Planning law

Gordon Brown announced it, but not in much more detail than you said. One idea was that planning permission would no longer be required for home extensions if all the neighbours OK'ed it.
The proposals have been put forward ostensibly as intending to simplify planning laws, in reality it is a sly move to make it easier for them to allow building in the Green Belt.
When is it likely to come into operation, or has it already???
It has only been suggested so far, so it's anyone's guess when and if it will happen.
