Damp garage.

Since having a garage built & rendered I have been plagued with dampness getting in at the point where the roof & the concrete blocks meet. There is a small parapet on top of the front facing garage wall built I presume to make the garage look good from the front & to hide the roof from the front. This is the point where the damp gets in. I have been concentrating on the felt etc here but am beginning to think that I am on the wrong track. It has just struck me that the copings could be the problem. They are 5.5 inch copings & with the 4 inch blocks & the rendering on the garage walls the copes have virtually no overhang. I have phoned the local builders merchant looking for 8 inch copes but he says next size up is 11 inches which is obviously too big. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to solve it?

Take the coppings off clean all bedding off both felt ,blocks and coppings. Bed two rows of clay roofing tiles, half bond, length ways across blocks and felt, this will increase the overhange of the blocks, then re lay coppins on top of roof tiles.
