Towel radiator in kitchen?

SWMBO has suggested putting a towel radiator in the kitchen (which I've almost finished renovating). The rad that was there was pretty small, so the limited heat output of a towel rad wouldn't be a problem - but any reason which I shouldn't do this?

I think it may look a little odd, but has a useful practical side for drying tea towels etc.

I have to buy a new rad of some type for the kitchen anyway, as the old (rusting) one is not allowed back! The alternative is some narrow "standard" rad, preferably as thin as possible (as in doesn't stick out from the wall too much), with a towel rail mounted above it.

Many thanks,

Alan.

Got one in mine and it is VERY useful. Put it in 15 years ago. Towels stay dry and it is one of 5 in the house that comprise the bypass as all the rads are on TRV's.
