Service instructions for Myson Velaire oil boiler available

In this ng there have been requests for information about this boiler. I've now got a copy of the manual and extracted the details of how to maintain and faultfind it. If you need this information please send me your email address and I'll send you the Word document. I've prepared the doc with care and believe that there are no errors but I can't guarantee that, so you use the instructions at your own risk. I am using it if that's any re-assurance.

Wow! if you can share your Word doc, you could help me out of a muddle...

My boiler has just gone dead - no electrical response, nothing happening.

Your info might help me understand what's up!

Thanks if you can (thanks if you can't)

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "steven noel pritchard" saying something like:

It's a Riello 40 burner assembly, so here...

Hello, I fitted a Myson Velaire free standing kitchen oil boiler about 16 years ago, it has been brilliant nothing really needed apart from cleaning magic eye and serviceing, the thing that bothers me is if the water jacket in the heat exchanger rusts and leaks, would you know if replacement welded heat exchangers are available anywhere. I'm quite happy for this boiler to see me out and don't wish to have a condensing boiler. Would be grateful for any advice. Mick Bonner.

If y, I would love a copy if you are still out there. I think my igniter or photocell is playing up. Thanks. David

If that is a pressure jet boiler, what burner does that boiler use?

If you're still out there I'd love a copy - if only to discover which model is in the house I've just moved in to. It says Myson Velaire but that's it!

That was nine years ago...

Looks like Geoff at cetltd.co.uk was on the thread. He's worth asking - knows his stuff.

Would very much appreciate a copy of the manual for a Myson Velaire boiler to snipped-for-privacy@manx.net. Thank you

It's a very simple device. Hardly needs a service manual. Some years ago I posted servicing instructions for a pressure jet oil boiler in here.

The size of nozzle and oil pump pressure are related to the output of the b oiler. Your simplest solution is to look at the nozzle already fitted. It m ight need a serious clean with a nylon scouring pad to reveal the figures s tamped on the hexagon flats. Look for something like 0.50 80 H which would signify 0.5 US gal per hour, 80 degree spray angle with a hollow spray patt ern.
