Sealing around bathroom pedastel

I have an interlocking tiled floor in my bathroom - laid professionally about two years ago - and an excellent job.

I have now seen that water is managing to seep between sealant around pedestal and the floor.

I am going to reseal - but I wondered if there is a good matt waterproof "varnish" or similar which I could apply to the relevant tiles to stop further water ingress. Some would be on top surface so I would need something which was not really going to be visible.

Suggestions will be appreciated please.

My approach would be to loosen the screws that hold the pedistal to the floor and ease it up a about a quarter of an inch and wedge it in that position with about 3 narrow bits of something. Then - having applied masking tape to the floor, use a silicon sealant to fill the gap and then remove the wedges and smmooth off the sealant. Finally after it has all set, tighten the screws.

Matchsticks or glazing packers both work - packers are handy as they come in every thickness from 1mm upwards.

Yes - a good approach. Basically what I did - except I bedded my loo onto a ring of silicone and did not use any screws.

However, after seeing how silicone can come away over time, I would consider something like Geocel "The Works" (stupid name) but it's bloody good stuff. A little dull in appearance compared to silicone but much better adhesion. Similar modulus once set.
