on a Vaillant turboMAX+, how hard is it to access?

Unless you have depressurised via the schrader valve it there is a leak in the internal diaphragm and it is buggered. Replace it with difficulty or install another one via a tee to the pipework system

The reason I think it may need repressurising is because the pressure rise on the system is unusually high, it will go up to around 2.6 bar when hot and about 1.2 bar when cold.
