Potterton Pro Max 24HE

Daughter is looking to have her boiler changed, and despite me recommending Worcester, she has a deal offered on a Potterton Pro Max

24HE. As these are a follow on from the ill fated Baxi Barcelona, are they now sorted enough to be considered alongside the likes of W-B or Viessmann. Does anyone have any experience of these?

Thanks

John

Well, I see a steady trickle of pcbs and the occasional fan

nowhere near as many as W-B

but then most fitters have learned better than to fit baxi / potterton by now

You implied that W-B were less reliable!!

No I didn't

I just as much implied that there are a lot more W-B boilers out there than Potterton Promax boilers

my vested interest is only in pcbs and fans being unreliable and breaking down irrespective of make or model

A lot of people ask me what boiler to buy, I reply I can't tell them, I can only thell them what I get most of in for repair, but it's also dependent on market share

Potterton/Baxi is still produces a volume boiler which I believed are reliable. I felt W-B relies upon the good name of Bosch to imply quality.

I suspect most of your experience is after a couple of years where the boiler is well out of any guarantee period.
