Paint Won't Dry!? Help.

My Mother had an old fireplace surround made out of ceramic tiles. They were out dated and due to it being custom made for the house we couldn't cover them, knock them out or put a wooden surround over it.

So, I done a lot of research online and decided it would be best to paint them, as they desperately needed up-dating and there was no other way around it.

I brought Tile Primer and applied two coats of this to the ceramic tiles. I left plenty of time between each coat and left it well alone for a week.

Now all the research I done and etc. said that after applying the primer I could use any type of paint as the primer creates a sill over the ceramic and a super grip adhesive bond.

I then applied a black gloss which would dry with a satin finish instead of the usual super shiny...

I done this on Saturday and it is now Monday. The paint is still extremely wet and tacky and to be quite honest, I'm panicking!! What can I do? Please help me!!

Use the appropriate thinners to remove the black and start again. You have either got a reaction between the two finishes or the black paint was faulty.
