I thought you meant there was something that hadn't been going on for a very long time.
One thing that perplexes me is the number of USAians who rant against "socialized" medicine. Even as they are refused everything under the sun by their existing insurance.
What don't you understand about "fixed term" and "from the savings only". The loan doesn't get paid off. I haven't looked at the Green Deal loan, so this is hypothetical.
TBH I'd be surprised if the savings from insulating solid walls would be that low. They leak heat like a sieve and there is a lot of external wall area on most houses, mid terrace might be different. B-)
After I was laid off in the US, and after my unemployment benefit had run its course, (it stops after a certain length of time), I still had to pay for my own health insurance, at about US$500 per month. This did not cover prescriptions, which for my wife and me ran at about $200 per month. And most Americans still don't want any kind of universal health care. There is no arguing with them, it's just ingrained in their psyche. While you have coverage, it's great. You need an operation soon, you get it this week. You are due for a mammogram, which day is convenient for you? But you still pay massively for prescriptions, even when insured.
True. I pay a British Gas bill in another place, so I paid as well. And I hate the wind turbine and solar panel subsidy concept. If it's so great, let it support itself.
That's the main reason I've heard. I boarded the loft middle sections befor e it was insulated, so it can be walked on safely if need be. Also put some big shelves on the wall. Where storage on the floor is needed, I've made s ure it is insulative. For example, bags of clothes are OK - with the loft i nsulation tucked back around them. Probably get some scrap celotex to creat e rafts if any more general storage needed. Our upstairs was much warmer la st winter than the one before. Simon.
Lots of people in USA can't afford $500/month. Lots of people homeless. They live in basements of relatives houses even in drains, tents, shacks. Unbelievable.
Yep same old story you'#d think they'd tax peole more for using more power in homes with heated swimming pools or large statley type home's with original features.
Best thing top do would be to charge more for people that use more, but that might affect the rich and we can;t hgave them paying more can we.
Indeed, and it doesn't need any maintenance. It seems to have had more effect in keeping the place cool in summer than keeping it warm in winter, but that could just be subjective.
