I have inherited a pretty old Vaillant combi boiler. The hot water works fine, but when I switch to central heating the boiler doesn't fire up and the radiators stay cold. The pressure is fine (around 1.5 bar). When we moved in May I had the same problem so I bled all the radiators and repressurised the system (several times as 2 rads upstairs were almost completely full of air) - this fixed the problem and the heating worked (hurrah). Now after not using it all summer we have the same problem (i.e. no flame) but this time the rads are all full of water. We don't a room thermostat, only valves on each radiator. Any ideas?
