Going round in circles on this one now. Installed 8 LV lamps (50w) on a 400w dimmer. Fine on very very low or full but some transformers (built into each lamp) seem to be buzzing. So, uncoupled 3 which were buzzing, now two others buzz. Is it the dimmer switch at fault?
It could be that the transformers are not suitable for dimming or that the dimmer isn't suitable for dimming LV lamps
Also, running the dimmer at maximum rating is not a good plan.

Actually says 'dimmable' on the transformers so I imagine its down to the dimmer itself. I'll put them back, get on with Sunday lunch and worry about it tomorrow.
