BluTak

Anyone know how to get last traces of this stuff off wooden stained doors, etc? Been there some years, holding up posters, etc. Having big tidy-up before re-decorating.

Warm it gently and roll another piece over it repeatedly.

stained

That'll pick up any bits stuck in the surface if you are patient. It won't do anything for the oily stain. "Dab It Off" would have shifted those but being one of the dry cleaning fluids is no longer in the retail market place. Lighter fluid might be a suitable alternative.

As I've learned, BluTak is best avoided.

WD40 might remove it, but then...
