Double glazing window locks!..

Got a bit of bovver with a couple of window locks on some double glazed PVC replacement windows that were fitted some 6-8 odd years ago.

Two handles have fallen to bits but what's worse is that you can turn them but the bottom of the window unlocks but the top remains in place!..

Anyone any ideas on how, short of seemingly breaking the thing, you can undo the window and anyone recommend anyone on line who does replacement locking mechanisms and handles?..

TIA:)....

I had a similar problem and called the supplier/installer back and he came and spent half a day repairing the failing ones and checking most of the others that had any sort of problem.. There was no charge as we still had the brochure and the receipt and the brochure stated "guaranteed for ten years". A couple of the windows he had to almost take apart as the lock mechanism had seized closed. Michael

I have the same problem on a unit i bought from B&Q and fitted myself. The window is nearly two years old, its UPVC and looks almost a sealed unit, so how would i go about repairing it? is this possible as i don't fancy ripping the whole window out and buying a new one.

Thanks, Tom
