Cement Patch

I live in NE Ohio and I patched three baseball size areas on my patio where the winter had "spaulded" the concrete. The concrete patch matches the original concrete pretty well except when it rains, then the patched areas do not turn dark like the rest of the patio cement which turns dark with when water hits it, so in effect the patched areas look bright white! Is there any way to fix/cover these patched areas? Thanks!

There's probably an acrylic additive in the patch which helps with adhesion but limits the water absorption when it rains. Count your blessings that you actually have few enough problems that this concerns you.

I see the same results when I use a TireWet (or any other product that make tires shine). I have four white spots in the driveway while the rest is dark tan wet cement color.
maybe you can seal the entire driveway with Thompsons (or simular product)... (may want to perform a test section first.)

Geezzzzzzzz, I wish all I had to worry about in life was the color the sidewalk turns after a rain....... With all the real problems in this world, like poverty, war, unemployment, disease, political corruption, crime, gas prices, and a million other things, and you are worrying about this nonsense. You need to get out more, need some friends, and need a life !!!
Till then, paint the frikkin sidewalk if it will improve your marriage and your sex drive.

Actually, you seem to be a bit frustrated. Feeling a tad insecure are you? Let me guess, your are under employed and life is not treating you well. As an attorney, I meet losers like you on a weekly basis. Try being pleasant on occasion---it will improve your life and attitude.

Try bottom posting and editing once in awhile, Einstein. It'll improve the way a thread is read. Not that this thread deserves to be read...
