Help with HVAC terminology

Dear HVAC group,

Doing a translation about HVAC from Swedish, with terms I'm not familiar with. Wondering if there's anyone here who could help...

"=F6verluft" Excess air that goes from one room to another. I.e., you've got supply air, exhaust air, and then this kind of air, which as I understand it is like surplus or "leaking" air. What's it called?

"uppf=E5ngningsf=F6rm=E5ga" A kitchen ventilation system has to be designed to have a high "capacity to such up airborne grease particles." Does the HVAC world have a term for this capacity or ability, to suck/trap/catch/attract

- ?

"Air distribution and diversion" - is this a normal phrase in this field?

TIA,

Heather

"överluft" Excess air that goes from one room to another. I.e., you've got supply air, exhaust air, and then this kind of air, which as I understand it is like surplus or "leaking" air. What's it called? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In this group we refer to the hot air that flows from one place to another seemingly at random and with no purpose as "Stormy".

"uppfångningsförmåga" A kitchen ventilation system has to be designed to have a high "capacity to such up airborne grease particles." Does the HVAC world have a term for this capacity or ability, to suck/trap/catch/attract

- ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Again, here in this group we refer to something that "sucks, traps and attracts (snappaheads)", as a "Stormy".

"Air distribution and diversion" - is this a normal phrase in this field? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes. Stormy does a lot of "diversion". He distributes it at will.

TIA, Heather ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hey Heather......Are you hot?

*** the term for that would be Senator.

"uppfångningsförmåga" A kitchen ventilation system has to be designed to have a high "capacity to such up airborne grease particles." Does the HVAC world have a term for this capacity or ability, to suck/trap/catch/attract

- ?

*** The term for that would be Clinton.

"Air distribution and diversion" - is this a normal phrase in this field?

*** No, we usually call it Media reporting, and plausible deniability.

TIA,

Heather
