I have broccoli plants that are dying to be set out. The problem is that it has been raining for several days now. Will it hurt the plants if I "mud" them in or should I wait till it dries out?

I have broccoli plants that are dying to be set out. The problem is that it has been raining for several days now. Will it hurt the plants if I "mud" them in or should I wait till it dries out?
The plants will be OK if the soil where you heel them in is well drained.
