speedfit

Hi

I am converting a room off the kitchen in to a utility (sink, washer, dryer, base unit and worktop). To plumb in, I plan to take a H & C supply from the kitchen, install appliance taps off a T connector and continue the pipes to the sink supply. Q - whats your view on speedfit, the website makes it sound so much cleaner and easier to install.

I've used speedfit many times now and never had any problems with it. It's much quicker to install and dead easy to work with. For long runs make sure that you use plenty of pipe clips as it will sag and pull against the joints if you don't. I understand that it is not recommended for installation were there could be rodents as they have a tendency to gnaw the pipes! One thing, though, ff you are going to box in the pipes (so that they are inaccessible) then I would tend to stick to copper pipe and soldered connections,
