OT: A few observations over the holidays.

An EcoBoost Ford Flex Limited was one of the best modes of transportation I have ever rented. It was excellent on the long runs, carried Angela, Emily and her make-up bag across Nova Scotia in absolute comfort. The AllWheelDrive was superb considering the shitkicking we got by the weather. The heated leather seats were almost sexual in nature. I quite liked that.

The seafood was simply outstanding. So were the rabbits, deer, and free-range turkeys we devoured. Angela's brothers all live off the available resources as fishermen, trapper or hunters. Ang's oldest brother handed me a coyotes' head as a method of deterring the house-cat from attacking the christmas tree. We dragged 3 coyotes from their snares and one bobcat. That bounty money bought us the booze we needed to help the wood stove in keeping us warm at night.

Then on to Halifax to spend time with friends, GO Navy!

Also watched the 25th anniversary concert for Rock Hall Of Fame on DVD...quite good for music history buffs. Em bought me that. Nice gift.

Oh... on the way home, we left Halifax at 4 am, on to Montreal, on to Ottawa, on to London, on to Sarnia..loooong farking day and only TWO pieces of luggage lost (recovered).

A new resolve to make some marketing headway in the freaky 3D sign business for 2011.

Sounds like a totally politically incorrect Christmas. Congratulations!

"Freaky 3D sign business"?? May I suggest making up some of those coyote head cat deterrents for Christmas trees.

Hey Robatoy how much loot did you fellas collect for the 'yotes and that bobcat? I used to trap years ago when fur prices were way up. As a matter of fact, now that deer season is over I'm gonna pop out a coupla' mink traps to monkey with for the winter.

If I heard it right, he gor 20 ea for the coyotes and 100 for the cat, but the cat was sold to somebody else, hardly worth it he says, but it was an experience for me. That's a whoooole different environment than what I am used to ..lol

He traps the coyotes because they're pests, after losing a litter of rabbit hounds to a hungry coyote, he's been particularly adamant they should all be exterminated. So it isn't about the money.

-------------------------------- Here in SoCal coyotes are also a problem; however, most people accept the fact that the coyotes were here first and it's the humans that are invading the coyotes space.

Same goes for the rattlesnakes, mountain lions and brown bears.

I heard that if you live in the city, you don't have a problem with wildlife, unless it is the two legged kind. I'd rather live with the 4 legged kind, at least they don't have guns.

These days, that's why the Indians run the casinos.

----------------------------------------- The 2 legged kind are all over the place witness the cop who was just killed at a trailer park west of Springfield, Ohio today.

Here in SoCal, living with the 4 legged kind is simply a fact of life, especially when houses are build right into wildlife mountain habitant.

Here, (Southern California) we have 2 mountain lion brothers roaming around the neighborhood. Seen them a couple of times really early in the morning. They have been able to grab a few dogs and jump right over an 8 foot wall and countless number of cats.

Go Cougars! Those big kitties will sure quiet down a neighborhood. (Effin' barking dogs, anyway.) Go Cougars!

Go Cougars!

Yeah, cat removal is a public service, but barker reduction is pure heaven.
