lotus wood

Greetings:

A fellow nearby is selling a piece of lotus wood. It is a cross section of a trunk. 2 1/4 inches thick, 5 ft wide. It is very roughlt heart shaped with one "lobe" 20 in across and the other 16 in across. The larger lobe has a burl in the middle of it. It is allegedly very old. It is quite flat and remarkably free of defects. It would make a substantial coffee table.

Can anyone suggest what a fair price for such a piece would be?
