I don't think monoblock units like this have any advantages beyond ease of setup and portability. In performance terms they are inferior in pretty much every way.
(however I was primarily commenting that the "<something>direct" group of companies)
Decent split units can be in the same ballpark on price for space heating, and you get cooling into the bargain. That is usually the main USP - you need aircon, and the heating comes almost for free.
Also handy for locations where gas is not an option.
