Twin screened cable.

Have been looking for some twin screened flexible small diameter wire - actually for use in a car injection systems, for the feed from a VR crank position sensor etc which needs to be screened. Lucas in the 90s used a cable with an OD of 4mm which had a very dense braided screen. Needs to be as small as possible to avoid the loom becoming too bulky, as there will be several in it, but also reasonably strong. There's plenty mic cable around which would do the job - but always much larger in diameter. All I can find is lapped screen with a foil. Is that as good a screen as braided?

I've got similar to that 'in stock'. Which was really the point of my original post. ;-)

Think your stock would be OK, IIRC your were looking for braided screen rather than spiral. My experience of small cables with braided screens is that they aren't particulary flexible and tend to be "dead", ie take a bend and stay bent.
