The message from "Dave Plowman (News)" contains these words:

I used some once to hold a nut-plate onto a long bit of metal so I could reach inside the top box section on an Espace to fit the seat-belt mounting point which had fallen off.

Hot Melt gun glue.

|A very good application is a shot of hmg into the top end of |semi-airspaced TV coax, to prevent it from becoming a pipeline for |condensed water vapour. (Don't worry, its RF properties are excellent.)

Thanks I will use it on my caravan Sat cable.

Hot glue has 1 big advantage over epoxy though - it's much more flexible (and "dries" faster than most sealants).
