I've been slowly (while a gazillion other jobs are running in parallel!) stripping and oiling the downstairs doors and had expected to do the same with those upstairs. However, my "instructions" are now that the upstairs doors should be painted. I'm doubtful about getting a good finish by brushing so am tempted to set-up a temporary (batten and polythene) spray booth in a shed. My only experiences of spraying are many years ago with a Burgess(?) airless sprayer that was fairly awful, and with my long-gone dad's home-made compressor and a gun that he'd borrowed or purloined from somewhere - this gave acceptable results on my old banger (105E Anglia).
The questions are: what spray gear to get, and whether to opt for latex-, or oil-, based paint.
