The local council have just started charging for certain types of recycling material. The leaflet provided states it must be in a bag no larger than 50cm x 77cm. That's not a bag, it's a rectangle! What's the other dimension? Does that mean I can use a bag 50 x 77 x 2 metres?!

Sounds like bag dimensions to me. 50 x 77 x 2 metres would be a rectangle.

It's an easier way to measure the bag. And surely you can hazard a guess how big a bag will get when you put things in it.
