Shower screen grumble...

Hi,

I have just failed (decided not to) install a shower screen.

All the pictures show the shower head just below the top of the screen - so muggins assumed that was how it would be in the en-suite.

Only when I offered the screen up to the bath did I notice that the top was well below the shower head.

This would obviously cause problems as the shower head is set just above my head height (I am 6' 0 1/2") so that I can get a reasonable shower - and my

6' 3" son doesn't have to stoop.

All the shower screens seem to be about 1.3m high which with the 0.4m depth of the bath gives a total height of 1.7m while the natural height for the shower head is just above 1.9m.

So are shower screens only for shortarses, or am I missing something?

Now have a shower curtain which is much more effective but far less pretty. However I have now had my first shower with the new setup and it all works very well :-)))) I did note that water from the shower splashed up to the top of the shower curtain which is set just above the shower head.

[Just checked and our much more upmarket main bath is the same depth - so it is not the cheapo Homebase bath which is the problem.]

Moral - never trust the pictures.

Grumble
