I am about to install a shower in a new ground floor bathroom. I would like to know how to seal the drain. I propose first building a brick platform and leaving a channel to put the drain pipe in, bed of mortar, then tiling over. Problem is how do I seal the drain against water leaking between the grating (the chrome grill) and the mortar?
