securing copper pipes

HiI had some mild steel brackets holding some copper pipes in place on awooden joist, but a plumber told me that I should not use mild steelas it reacts with the copper, but I forgot to ask him what I shoulduse. Any ideas Please.ThanksAlec

Plumbing's not my thing by any means but I DO have a bag of plastic pipe clips. Doesn't everyone?
