I have just noticed that the ridge tiles on my daughter's roof look as though they need re-bedding. The roof is a Hip Roof and the tiles are plain concrete.
Has anyone any advice on what I should specify / check when getting quotes (Not DIY)

They could be dry bedded or wet bedded.
Ask neighbour's if they have recently used someone and whether they were happy with their work; ring Age Concern and see who they list re roofers etc because they do work on a feedback loop.
If cement is needed, ensure SBR is added to the mix otherwise it's little chance of sticking. You can buy SBR from B&Q, Screwfix etc just to have on the shelf and make sure it is used.
