No joke taken, I am interested in this subject and am putting together a small site reviewing the technology behind WC's: Siphons, cisterns, drop-valve designs, electric operated and pneumatic flush options.
A best and worst list of wc pans on the market would be very useful so to get started I would like to ask that people on this group mail me (easy demangle my email address) their own cistern/pan models, their suppliers, and a quick note on their efficiency/experiences.
Some bogs are designed so that the turds land on a shelf so that one can inspect them before flushing away. Very useful in countries like Africa. one can see if there are any wriggly things in it (intestinal worms). I spent four years in central Africa - got the teeshirt.
