Repair outdoor concrete step

One of our garden steps has broken along its width (slight accident with something heavy being dropped_.

It is just a single break, fairly clean.

Would something like this: Soudal Repair Express Cement & Concrete Grey

suitable?

I have some Milliput which seems to be quite capable of holding broken bits together but I don't think it'll show a gap.

Or other suggestions? Taking the step out and getting another in looks as if it would involve a lot of work.

Probably a far better bet than cement

If the step is a concrete paver it sounds like it has not been bedded correctly so any simple crack filling will at best be cosmetic and likely to open up again. Concrete pavers correctly bedded can take quite a weight and impact without cracking, I have had grab wagons pressing their stabilisers down on such without issue. Mend it with a new one you will not regret it.

It was careless, heavy and sudden impact(s). The steps have been there nearly 60yrs.
