Removing roof & gutter sealant from bricks

I have to remove some felt that's been fixed to brickwork using 'Sureseal Roof & Gutter Sealant'. Anyone any thoughts on how to remove the remaining sealant from the face of the bricks?

Possibly scrape off as much as you can, then scrub with a solvent like White Spirit?
