I don't think "tanalised" timber will take paint. The protection given is so that you don't need to paint it. Just paint it properly all all sides and edges, particlarly the bottom edge (ideally before hanging it)..

You can still get clear solvent-based cuprinol.
Stand all the planks with their bottoms in a something like an old baking tray and let the cuprinol soak into the end grain, and also 'paint' some more along the t&g.
Needs a week of warm dry weather to dry properly before water-based paints can be used (but solvent based primers are still available).
