plumbing gone wrong

Hi,Apologies that this isn't strictly 'DIY'!!I'm having a new bathroom fitted and after they left today I noticedthat there was water coming out of the cold water tank overflow pipe.Had a look in the loft and the water level in the cold tank was indeedmuch higher than normal and had risen over the top of the overflowpipe. We actually have 2 cold water tanks in the loft that areconnected by a short pipe (no idea why there are 2?) . The water wasentering the tank from an inlet pipe low down on the second tank (notfrom the tank that has the ball valve)When I turn the mains water off the water stops entering. The plumbershad just installed a new bath and had been complaining about thecomplicated old pipework under that bathroom floor so I'm working onthe assumption that they messed up somehow- any idea what they couldhave done?thanksCharlie

Any documented cases of Legionnaires from a domestic water tank which was in normal use?

If it were a real problem shouldn't it be done immediately?

A higher tank will give more pressure, adding a second will not. It will simply make it take longer to empty the storage tanks of the shower can empty the tank quicker than the ball valve can fill it.
