Plastering Video/DVD

Hi people,

I've done a few of bits of skimming of late with varying desgrees of success. I was wondering if anybody knows of any videos or DVDs that are available as I think being able to visually see it being done would be more helpful than reading books about it.

Thanks, Richard.

The best way to learn mate, is practice. Watching a video of brain surgery might give an idea of what's happening, but it doesn't help with hands on experience. Believe me, I've tried. :-)

Don't know what you're talking about - I performed a successful frontal labotomy on my eight year old neice after watching Tommy Walsh do it on discovery home and leisure.

Shouldn't that have been...nothing better than hands on experience?

Anyway how big where they?

I think plastering is one of those things you really need someone to show you, and then watch you and tell you what you're doing wrong. I don't think you'll find a video much better than a book. Look for a course at a local building construction college. If you indicate which part of the country you're in, someone might point you to a local one.

Books videos will never substitute the necessary practice required to get the hang of plastering. If you read the book and then watched the video how well could you then ride a bike for the very first time. College course are ok but It may be quicker and cheaper to pay a plasterer to give you an hours demo. essentially it is afterall only a simple wrist action ;-)
