Horseshit!1 You said "And have conveniently ignored that no other country has achieved this with the EU."

Flexibility and agility are the answers. Don't tie yourself up in great cumbersome blocs with incomprehensible trade deals.

Sure, but Britain chose not to go the socialist route on that.

And it wasn't just about a sovereign wealth fund, Norway chose to have a government operation do theirs.

Britain doesn't have to be in the EU for that.

That isnt why the US completely dominates the world economically.

That has worked out fine for Germany.

*YES*, by helping to destroy their own country. Then making a fortune smuggling Oil (which Erdogans son is involved in), and smuggling Syrians and anyone else who has money into Greece. It's all down to OIL.

And remember, it is the UK taxpayer who is paying almost a billion pounds a year to pay for the refugee camps in Turkey and Jordan. This is more than any other country.

All their bloody exports FFS.

We import 2/3rds of all cheese bought in this country. Spain supplies our supermarkets out of season. French farmers would by very angry if they were kept out of the UK market for their dairy products and wine, and angry French farmers are a force to be reckoned with.

Germany doesn't just sell us loads of cars, lorries and coaches look inside any large factory that has any sort of automation and you will find German (and swiss) machine tooling. All the worlds tunnelling seems to use TBMs from Germany. Liebherr don't just make fridges, they are into heavy industrial plant as well, like those massive cranes you see on the roads.

we import far more from Germany and France than they take from us.

Still think they will drag out a Brexit trade deal for 8 years ?, not a chance.

Driving a rover SD1 (designed before we joined the common market).

Which 'own' country?

Odd given you can barely give oil away at the moment.

Right. So they're not penniless refuges that are a strain on the country's social services?

Conscience money. The UK is perhaps more resposible for the mess that is the middle east than any other.

But yes, they have far more to lose if we don't trade with them,.

I agree, but the question was asked as to why the EU needs Britain not why the EU needs Britain in the EU.

They don?t need a trade deal to trade.

Just like the TTIP isnt needed to trade with the USA either.

Or course you never do anything like that yourself, eh ?

Britain would never be so stupid because it would collapse economically if it ever was that stupid, and starve too.

Reply to
Jack Brown

That isn't what the EU needs Britain for, at most it might be what Germany needs Britain for.

Reply to
Jack Brown

Well really.

Not even the most ardent 'inner' has claimed that Britain would collapse.

I think you should revisit your medication schedule, Rod.

Because they were never discussing Britain refusing to trade.

They aren't that stupid.

But you've stated the West is about to collapse. Is the UK going to opt out of 'the West' too?

Or were you just talking your usual s**te?
