Just went round a couple of new developments purely to be nosey, and I noted that both (different developers with very different quality) had Ideal boilers in the show homes.
Advice here seems to be WB or Vaillant for decent quality.
Where do Ideal sit in the league table?
On a related note, if you buy a house is it worth replacing a cheap boiler over the summer instead of waiting for it to fail in the middle of winter? Again, not planning to buy anywhere but just speculating. I suppose it depends at least partly on how long you expect to live in the property.
