I almost got the chance at a free R1155 (and a free T1154!) but couldn't manage transport at the time.

I have posted this before, but for those who were not around:
In the early 70s, I walked into a shop (remember House of Holland?) in Deansgate, Manchester and bought a wheelbarrow and rotary drying line. I assembled the barrow in the shop, put the drying line on it, and set off for what was then Knott Mill station. They were soon loaded into the guard's compartment of a class 304 for my journey home to Burnage.
I still have the drying line, using it occasionally, but the wheelbarrow was replaced a few years ago as it rusted away.

I sold a 28" CRT set. Chap who picked it up on foot had a small sack trolley with him. Said he used it to take his drums to gigs. And managed to get it on the bus. The TV was in two bits - a base it sat on. He came back for that. He was young, of course.

On Friday, I made up some shoes storage shelves to replace the ad hoc mess of ready made shelves in the under stair cupboard. So the ready mades became surplus on Saturday. On Saturday I spotted a kitchen mixer, blender thingummy in Lidl, where the part which goes in the food was removable for a thorough wash. So we bought one to replace the existing unit which was all in one piece, blade and motor.
I then put the shoe racks out along with the surplus blender, by the gate - and they sat there until just half an hour ago, when an artic stopped outside, the driver got out, picked them all up and off he went. I have never had anything stay out uncollected this long before, two whole days ;-)

You can get the same sets new, from other sources cheaper than Curries. I only pair £300 for my 50 inch 3 years ago, brand new in it's box, just last years model. A used one will be last years at least model.
