Oral-B with replaceable battery?

I thought I saw an Oral-B toothbrush with a replaceable battery, probably on amazon.com . Was I mistaken, or is there such a thing?

Yes, we have them. 2 ordinary AA batteries.

Batteries seem to last for ever.

Thanks. I see you are referring to the Braun Oral B Advance Power Toothbrush.

There is. Avoid them though, water leakage kills them long before the battery dies.

Not an Oral B one, but my youngest daughter has a Colgate one with that takes AA batteries and it's been going fine for a couple of years with no water leaking problems

But, at only about £8 - £9, if it lasts for a couple of years or so... The performance is about the same as the rechargeable ones, hardly drops off at all for a month or more and 'recharging' takes a minute, not 18h.

I run mine on a couple of the ~2.4Ah Eneloops and change them every 4 - 5 weeks. BTW, due to the size and area of my teeth, I take about 4 min. a time for cleaning (only low force - more effective), so a rechargeable lasts about 4 days.

all completely untrue.

Perhaps the quality is not as good now, but I have one (Braun Oral-B, AA battery powered) that is at least 7 years old and still going strong.

Mine's not quite a year yet, so I'll know in a few years if it's any good - then a new one won't be!

Except that mine's at least 10 years old.
