Manufacturers/retailers of Floormaster AquaLoc?

Does anyone know who manufactures the Floormaster AquaLoc laminate flooring that is sold by B&Q? Have Googled to death but can't find a lead.

Also, are there any other retailers selling this product or is it a B&Q special?

It's supposed to be suitable for splash areas - kitchens/bathroom etc.

Any experiences with this specific product - I know there are horror stories with other laminate products but I'm specifically interested in Floormaster AquaLoc.

Many thanks, Roy

Did my kitchen with TileLOC (not AquaLOC) two years ago, sealing the joins with the sealant they sell for areas which may get wet and the edges with clear silicone. Still perfect; indeed has had people asking who laid the tiles...

Not used Aqualoc but I layed the TileLoc flooring in our kitchen a couple of years back. Didn't seal anything - just layed it an left it :) The TileLoc stuff seemed to quote the same claims as the AquaLoc.

Despite a washing machine pumping out behind the units and leaving it soaked for several weeks it is fine. In fact, an offcut has been outside for two winters now (I left it on the wall out in the garden to see what it would do) and it still clicks together perfectly.

Very impressed.

Hi Roy,

I just installed B&Q Aqualoc in the toilet and kitchen/dining room. It is great. I tested the manufacturer's guarantee by leaving the whole plank outside whilst it was raining for several days and poured the water onto the toilet floor (after I finished it) to see if I would have any problem with the joint. Apparently, both tests were perfect.

Since I am so happy with the end result, I decided that I am going to use Aqualoc for my living room and bathroom too. After all, we always knock a glass of wine/beer in the living room and flood the bathroom from time to time.

It is a good idea though to add a bit of waterproof glue to the joint where you expect more water splash, i.e. near the sink/basin.

Hope this information helps you to make a decision.

rrh, Darren, Lalana,

Many thanks for your responses. Sounds like it's a good product...

I found the UK distributor - Tapis UK in Camberley, Surrey. I think it's part of a company called Responsive Designs.

Evidently AquaLoc & TileLoc only go to B&Q - no other retailers.
