I want to put in some log edgings. The 'above ground' height has to be approx 25-30cm.
Now if I bought a roll like this, I can get a fair price of around £7 for
1.8m length by 30cm high

is, I am guessing at least a good 10cm will have to go under the ground, making it slightly shorter than I would like.What I could do, is go for the slightly more expensive option of these:

presume that when you hit the 2 pointy bits into the ground the rest stays above ground?Now , you can buy the ones with stakes at 30cm high, so I presume I will get the full 30cm heigh from those?
Also, could I just buy the rolls and make my own stakes on the 2 edges? If so how would you suggest doing that? I spose stakes made of metal would be better than would as they would be underground and less likely to rot!
