I live in an old cottage without mains drainage. There may well have been some sort of soakaway in the past for downpipes on either side of the cottage but they are no longer functioning and I'm about to install 2 modular cell soakaway systems.
What is not apparent in the write up about these things is how to trap solids - leaves, moss, grit and the likes - getting into the 'tank' and clogging it like the old fashioned hole in the ground has clearly become.
Can anyone give any guidance please.
